The Listener ("we", "our", or "us") operates the website and the mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.

1. Anonymity & Data Protection

Your privacy is our core mission. Chat texts, call streams, and session media are not logged or stored on our servers. Your phone number is only collected for authentication (verification via OTP) and is strictly masked from listeners and other users.

2. Information Collection

We do not collect any personal identifier except the phone number during OTP registration. Your profile name, gender chips, and interests are fully customizable and do not need to contain real identity elements.

3. Wallet & Transaction Information

Top-up recharges are processed through secure partner payment gateways (Razorpay). We store only your wallet transaction status, log details, and billing amounts to calculate balances and expert earnings. We never see or store your credit/debit card numbers or netbanking credentials.

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Terms and Conditions") carefully before using the website and the mobile application operated by The Listener.

1. Services Offered

The Listener provides supportive peer counseling and wellness chat services. We connect users with background-verified, trained active listeners. We do NOT provide clinical therapy, medical advice, diagnostics, or psychiatric treatments.

2. Professional Disclaimer

The services provided through this platform are NOT a substitute for professional mental health services, crisis hotlines, or medical interventions. If you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm, a psychiatric crisis, or any medical emergency, please immediately call your local emergency numbers (e.g., 112 in India) or visit the nearest healthcare facility.

3. Wallet Recharges

recharges are consumed in real-time. Charges for chats are flat per-session, and calls are billed per-minute. If your wallet balance reaches zero, the active chat/call session will automatically terminate immediately.

4. Code of Conduct

You agree to behave respectfully towards our listeners. Any verbal abuse, sexual harassment, hate speech, or threat will result in immediate termination of your account, forfeiture of your wallet balance, and potential legal actions.

Return & Refund Policy

1. No Refunds on Wallet Recharges

All wallet top-up transactions performed inside the mobile application are final and non-refundable. Once money is added to your secure wallet balance, it cannot be refunded back to your bank account, credit/debit card, or UPI address.

2. Billing Deductions

Wallet balances are deducted in real-time based on the duration of voice/video calls or upon starting flat-rate chat sessions with verified listeners. Once a session begins, the credits consumed during that session are non-refundable.

3. Service Disruptions & Adjustments

If you experience technical issues (such as call drops, network disconnection, or hardware failures) during a session that results in incorrect credit deductions, you may submit a request to support@thelistener.in within 48 hours. Our operations team will investigate the database session logs and, if a platform error is verified, credit back the disputed amount to your in-app wallet balance.

1. Electronic Delivery of Services

The Listener provides purely digital peer-support, counseling, and wallet recharges through the mobile application. We do not sell, ship, or deliver any physical merchandise, goods, or hardware products.

2. Delivery Timeline

All digital products and services are delivered instantaneously:

  • Wallet Credits: Added to your profile wallet immediately upon confirmation of successful transaction from our payment gateway (Razorpay).
  • Counseling Sessions: Sessions (chat, voice, or video) are initiated in real-time immediately when the user requests a session and the selected online listener accepts.

3. Delivery Charges

Since all services are delivered digitally inside the mobile app, there are no shipping charges, delivery fees, or handling costs applicable to any purchase.
